Just a quick update.

These last few weeks haven't been all too exciting for us.  Well, besides Jax getting his first tooth, rolling over for the first time and starting to sit completely on his own for extended periods of time.  :)

Randy has been working six 14.5 hour days straight (only having Sunday off) and will be doing this for the next 3 weeks.  I'm not going to lie...it sucks, but the money will be great, and we figure he kind of needs to prove himself at this point.  So, needless-to-say, Jax and I miss him so much.  I wish you could see the smile Jax gets on his face the second he sees his dad.  Luckily, Jax has changed his schedule up a little bit and is starting to stay up a little later.  He usually gets to see Randy for 15-30 minutes a night because of it now.

I'm still doing kettle bells 4 days a week, and I'm down 5 pounds in 4 weeks. I can't wait to see what my measurements are after the 6 weeks.  I'm surprised how much I actually enjoy this class, too.  Everyone is just so supportive and encouraging, and I do feel like I'm getting stronger, so I'm hoping I'll be able to continue taking this class, well, pretty much always!

So, here's what I'm sure you're really wanting to see.  Photo updates!  :)

[Snuggling with Dad.]

[First time in the snow.  He didn't know what to think.]

[His bouncer is his favorite toy.]

[Smiley boy.]

[Can't you see I'm busy, Mom?]

[He loves Scout.]

[That look says it all.  This is how he felt about carrots.]

[Ewww - kisses from mom.]

We hope you are all doing great.  I'll try to post some videos later!

Jax is 5 months old!

Can you believe it?  We have a 5 month old.  I know I can hardly believe it!  It is amazing how much joy he has brought into our lives in just a short 5 months, and how much he has grown and changed.  We are so happy here's here.

Well, here is his 5 month photo:

And, here are some other photos we've taken the last few days:
[He's been trying so hard to get his toes into his mouth.]

[He is fascinated by them.]
[He LOVES his bouncer.]
[Love those blue eyes!]
[I have a feeling him and Ozzy are going to be pals.  They are so curious about each other.]
[And...I am a bit late with this, but we finally got around to making his first
Christmas ornament.  It proved to be much harder than I expected, but here it is!]

We hope everyone is having a fabulous Monday!

Busy Busy at the Thompson House

Sorry for not posting sooner. The last 2-3 weeks have beyond busy at our house. Heather, Will and Ellie spent a week here in Elko over Christmas, and we spent as much time as possible with them, as well as both my mom's and dad's sides of the family. Unfortunately, a good majority of the time they were here, Jax was teething (okay, only one day of that), and then got a nasty cold that he is just getting over. Needless to say, we spent a lot more time at home than we would have liked to. At least he waited until the day after Christmas. :)

Randy is still loving his new job, despite being exhausted all the time. (13+ hour days will do that to you.) Cashman seems to be an awesome company to work for; we're hoping things keep going the way they are. We're soaking up as much time as we can as a family while he's off on the weekends; we're thankful we at least have those two days together. Randy doesn't get to see Jax at all during the week, because Jax is asleep when he leaves in the morning and asleep when he gets home at night. We're hoping that will change soon. But, for the time being, we're glad to have a few hours that we can spend together at night.

I am absolutely loving getting to be home with Jax every day. He is so much fun and keeps me laughing (and on my toes) all day long. This week I started going to a kettle bells class with Katie, and it is kicking our butts. I don't know about her, but I am happy for that! The class is 4 days a week (+ 2 optional days with different work outs) and lasts for 6 weeks. I'm a bit anxious to see what kind of results we will both get in that amount of time.

I honestly can't remember when most of these photos were taken, and some are from my cell phone, but here's a bunch for you all to look at! Also, we slacked off a lot on taking pictures...especially on Christmas. :(   At least we got video, I suppose!

[Chattin' with Dad on his way home from work.]

[He's working on sitting up by himself.]

[Why did mom put this rag on my head?!]

[Kay, Mom, are we done taking pictures?]

[Hanging out with Grandpa Gary on Christmas Eve.]

[Christmas Eve jammies!]
[Christmas rocks!]
[Christmas Day]

[Hanging out with cousin Ellie while she was here.]
[He is getting harder and harder to take pictures of; he's too curious! :)]

 [Still just loves those fingers!]

[Here Mom, how's this smile?  Can we be done?  Haha]

[Wearing his sock monkey hat from Santa.]

[Getting big enough to sit in the cart.]

[Until he gets tired, that is.  Grocery shopping is tough stuff!]

[He started holding his own bottle just this week. *Tear*]

[Poor kiddo while he was teething; he was so miserable.]

[Hanging out in his bouncer this morning.]

[Smiley boy.]

Well, we hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and is enjoying 2012 so far.  We definitely are!  I'll update again soon.  :)
